Sunflower Cat

She’s called Sunflower because when she first turned up as a stray, she used to sit in the long grass with her little head peering at me and she looked like a beautiful golden flower!

I did these sketches of her (from a photo) back in 2023. A strange thing happened, having not really drawn animals before, i managed to capture her personality and expression perfectly. I feel like i tapped into my creative spirit, because i was drawing with total love.

It wasn’t really ‘me’ doing these sketches, but something much more mystical and intuitive.
